To achieve the first practical application in Japan of biological control of the livestock pest stable fly using native parasitoid wasps, this project will implement several key initiatives. These include the planned mass production of native parasitoid wasps as biological control agents, the development of long-term cold storage technologies that enable inventory control and shipment scheduling, and the establishment of optimal transportation and packaging methods to reduce stress during distribution.
In addition, pre-test marketing will be conducted with livestock farmers nationwide to evaluate practical performance and support future large-scale deployment.
